Appointed, Anointed, and Still Becoming

There’s something profoundly humbling about realizing that who I am today isn’t who I was yesterday, and who I’ll be tomorrow is still being shaped by God’s faithful hands. The journey of transformation isn’t always comfortable, but it’s always purposeful. Because of God’s grace, I’m becoming the person He’s appointed me to be.

Scripture reminds us in Philippians 1:6 that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” This promise anchors my soul on difficult days when growth feels slow or impossible. God isn’t finished with me yet. Every trial, every triumph, and every moment of surrender is part of His divine craftsmanship, molding me into His masterpiece.

I look back at the person I used to be—the fears I carried, the doubts that plagued me, the limitations I placed on myself—and I see God’s fingerprints all over my transformation. He’s been patient with my stumbling, gentle with my brokenness, and relentless in His pursuit of my potential. Not the potential the world sees, but the calling He’s placed deep within my spirit.

Jeremiah 29:11 declares, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This isn’t just a beautiful sentiment; it’s a divine guarantee. God’s appointment over my life isn’t random or arbitrary. It’s intentional, purposeful, and perfectly designed for His GLORY and my GOOD.

The transformation isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s in the quiet moments of obedience, the daily choice to trust Him over my own understanding, the willingness to let go of who I thought I should be to embrace who He’s called me to be. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 promises, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Because of You, God, I’m learning to walk in confidence—not in myself, but in Your faithfulness. Because of You, I’m discovering gifts I didn’t know I possessed. Because of You, I’m stepping into spaces that once terrified me. Because of You, I’m becoming.

The journey continues, and I’m grateful that His mercies are new every morning, fueling the transformation that will ultimately reflect His image of me to a watching world. I AM BECOMING!
