MY BATTLE CRY!! During my worship time today, I kept coming back to how much we need Jesus. We need Him like a thirsty man lost in a desert. We have to learn to lean on God in times of famine and times of plenty. There will be times when there is not enough; times when there are shortages of food, shelter, and finances. During those times my BATTLE CRY is God lead me. Lead me to those places where You are providing. Lead me to the supernatural provisions You gave to your people during their forty-year journey (Exodus 16:4-5). That place where you supernaturally provided 9 million pounds of food each day and 18 million pounds on Friday (double). A place where You provided for them 14,600 days and 2080 weeks. Can man even fathom such a thing?
Lead me to a place of humility; a place of sacrifice, and a place of hope (Philippians 2:3-11). Lead me deeper into Your presence where I am emptied of myself and filled with more of You. Take me to a place where I cry out to You for the healing of our land; a healing of hearts of those who call themselves by Your name and those who do not know you as Father. Lead me to the place of unconditional love. Help me to love as You love; not by showing how much I know, but by showing how much I need You, so I can know. Lead me to a place where I always put the welfare of others before myself. This is my BATTLE CRY!
As I look into Your heart, I see a world where we are formed in Your likeness. God fill me with that kind of love, let it flow from my heart into a world that is so confused and hurting right now. Help me to lead others to know You and Your unfailing love. Father, lead me to a place where I lay everything down at Your throne. Empty me of all of those things which are not of You (John 5:30). Lead me to a place of clarity; a place where I see not only with my natural eyes but with the eyes of the Spirit. Take me deeper into the depths of Your heart so I can hear what I need to hear and know those things you want me to know. Lead me to a place of mercy and a place of grace. That’s where I long to be. God, lead me to that place where I am weak, so that I may know your strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). That’s my BATTLE CRY!
Take a moment to look into your heart and see where you long to be. Check yourself. Are you longing for God or are you longing for you? Are you trying so hard to be right that you no longer realize when you are wrong? What’s your BATTLE CRY?
