Boldness. Be bold in your pursuits. It’s the end of January and as usual, God and I had a conversation about making plans for the coming year. We looked at my plans, purposes, and pursuits from 2020, and He gave me direction for 2021. One of my goals for this year is to publish a book about praying through the pandemic. Look for it later in the year. Boldness is a gift. Do not let the enemy steal this from you. God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible (2 Timothy 1:6-7).
Are you spending time with God making plans for the coming year? Maybe last year was not what you thought it would be. You had some losses but do not become discouraged. God’s got this; even when it looks like there is no one on your side. Isaiah 41:10 encourages us: “Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you”.
Remember this: “A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.” (Proverbs 16:9) God sees the potential in you even when you cannot see it in yourself. Trust Him. Continue to make plans and watch God bring them to pass. Step into the new year and your new season with determination and purpose. If your plans for last year did not materialize keep pressing forward. Temporary setbacks are exactly what they appear to be, TEMPORARY.
Take heart; God’s got this! He already knows your end from your beginning. Nothing that happened last year was a surprise to God. Boldness is the key. I choose BOLDNESS every time and push onward to my higher calling.
One of my favorite scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11 – “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about a future full of hope.” I keep this on my desk so I can always see it while working. No matter how small the world tries to convince you that you are; I know God sees me now and in the future. I choose to trust His plans and purposes for my life.
As we start the new year, I pray God’s blessings on each of you. Thank you to those who faithfully read my blog and share it on social media.
