From Grass to Grace: Lessons from Your Lawn

I was awakened early this morning by someone mowing their lawn. As I lay there listening to the roar of that engine, I thought about how mowing the lawn relates to our walk of faith. Here are my thoughts: *Regular Maintenance Prevents Overgrowth Just as grass grows continuously and requires regular cutting to stay healthy and manageable, our spiritual lives need consistent attention. Fireflies & Divine Revelation

Growing up in the country, I was privileged to see fireflies light up the night on a regular basis. They are quite beautiful to behold. As I watched them, I thought about how God’s Word is revealed to us and impacts our daily lives. Here is a lesson from the firefly. The Holy Spirit said to me, “The guy with the broom handle was simply ‘toying’ with the guys with the swords. That’s how the devil manipulates you sometimes; he toys with you. But I have equipped you to be the better fighter.” Toying with someone means playing with their emotions, intentions, or expectations—usually in a Read More
