Broken Focus leads to disaster and distractions are dangerous. That’s the message I got from the Holy Spirit this week. As Christians, we need to remain focused on what’s important to God which includes His plans and His people (Colossians 3). Do not allow the things going on in the world to distract you from your purpose or your call. Focus is a game-changer; however, broken focus will lead to disaster. Broken focus is a plan killer. This week and the coming weeks will be very busy for me. My Spring class starts on Thursday, I am working on assignments, Read More

Lead Me: Three Ways God Does Not Lead His People
Lead Me, God, and I will follow. God loves to lead and direct His people. All throughout scripture, God leads and directs. However, we have to discern the voice of God from our own voice or the voice of the enemy. As this year of 2020 continues and the US elections approach, we have to be diligent about following God’s leading. In order to follow God, we must know how He leads and also how He does not lead. God leads us through visions(Acts 2:17) the Word (2 Timothy 3:16) and the Holy Spirit (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit, the Read More
Why God?: Go Ahead and Ask, He will Answer
Why? Has God ever asked you to do something and you wanted to ask Him just one question? Why God? God’s request does not make sense in the natural, but in the Spirit, it makes perfect sense. We are at that time in history when God will be asking us to do some things that appear to the world as foolishness, but as He said, “But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame Read More
Tune-up: Run to the Father for Spiritual Repair
Tune-up needed? Run to the Creator (Colossians 1:16). We have been replacing a few of our electronic devices over the last few days. Some are very old; others are starting to act up. New items come with a warranty. These warranties are for a specific amount of time and with the warranty, you can return for repair or replacement if needed. This reminded me of how we are sometimes in need of repair and need to go back to our heavenly Father for a tune-up (Isaiah 40:29) Have you ever been so exhausted you can barely stand, or so overwhelmed Read More
Clouds: Look Up, God is Watching Over You
Clouds are one of God’s beautiful creations. This week I was presented with several photographs of clouds. Along with each of these photos, there was a caption proclaiming that God sees us; that He is watching out for us; that He was not surprised by the events of 2020. He is the ALL SEEING ONE (EL ROI). Translated literally, El-Roi means the God who sees me. I have always loved this name for God. He looks ahead and sees what is coming and prepares the way. He provides direction when you are not sure which way to go. In Exodus Read More
