In Him Realities: Taking Your World by Storm

In Him we live, we move and we have our being (Acts 17:28). I am starting a new series this week called In Him Realities. In Him Realities are those things which the Word of God tells us we have ‘In Him‘.   Not just In HIm, but By Him, Through Him, In Whom, Through Christ and so many more. John 1:4 tells us In Him we have life.

When you were born again you received the Spirit of God which now abides on the inside of you. The Spirit of God is the Power of God. Think about that. The same power which raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you. Make that confession daily. The same power which Jesus used to raise Lazarus from the dead lives on the insideIn HIm of you. All of the power Jesus possessed, now resides on the inside of you. With all of that power, you have more than you will ever need to do what God has called you to do. He didn’t send you into ministry without first equipping you. All you have to do is use what He gave you.

How do you release that power? By speaking (Mark 11:22-24). Talk to those mountains or those situations that rise up. Let’s be real, there are going to be mountains. Sometimes huge mountains, other times hills. You have the power to speak to those mountains and watch them crumble. They may not crumble all at once, but they will crumble. Remember when Elijah (1 Kings 18:41-45) told Ahab it was going to rain after three and a half years of famine. He told his servant to go see if there was evidence of rain and the servant came back to Elijah and said he did not see anything. Elijah prayed and the servant went to look seven times before he saw the evidence. 1 Kings 18:41-45Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea. Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”  And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel.”

Elijah did not have the Spirit of God residing on the inside on him, he had the Spirit resting on him. Yet, he was able (by the Spirit of God) to stop the rain for three and a half years and pray for the rain to resume. What can you do with the Spirit on the inside of you? In Him, you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— (1 Corinthians 1:5 NIV). Stay tuned next week for more on In Him Realities.
