You are Being Stalked!

You are being stalked. Have you ever been stalked? Every person on the planet should answer yes to that question. Yes, you are being stalked. It does not matter if you are at home, work, or out and about taking care of business; you are being stalked. You can feel it. The hairs on your arms and neck stand up, and you start to feel the paralyzing fear. With every step you take, someone or something takes a step behind you. You stop and turn around, but there is nothing there, yet you know that someone or something is stalking Read More

Vision: Seek it, write it, and obey it.

Vision is important in our everyday walk with the Lord. As you start this new year are you seeking to follow God’s vision or are you looking for direction from other sources. God has a plan (Jeremiah 29:11) and you have to discover and live out that plan.  We must be in agreement with God and walk in obedience to the plan He has for us. Narratives: Pursuing Purpose in a Crazy World

Narratives are the storylines of your life. They are accounts, reports, stories, events, or experiences. My narratives include being born and raised in rural North Carolina to currently working on my doctorate. Delays happen. Delay is defined as postponing until a later time; defer, to cause to be later or slower than expected or desired. Our focus scripture is Isaiah 40:31 –  “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” I have been hearing the Lord say ‘Stop making excuses; stop procrastinating, stop playing Read More

Boldness: Plans, Purposes, and Pursuits

Boldness. Be bold in your pursuits. It’s the end of January and as usual, God and I had a conversation about making plans for the coming year. We looked at my plans, purposes, and pursuits from 2020, and He gave me direction for 2021. One of my goals for this year is to publish a book about praying through the pandemic. Look for it later in the year. Boldness is a gift. Do not let the enemy steal this from you.  God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible (2 Timothy 1:6-7).
