You are being stalked. Have you ever been stalked? Every person on the planet should answer yes to that question. Yes, you are being stalked. It does not matter if you are at home, work, or out and about taking care of business; you are being stalked. You can feel it. The hairs on your arms and neck stand up, and you start to feel the paralyzing fear. With every step you take, someone or something takes a step behind you. You stop and turn around, but there is nothing there, yet you know that someone or something is stalking you. Step by step, minute by minute. Your flight or fight response is on high alert, and your first instinct is to run. You tell yourself you are being paranoid and you need to settle down. Yet, you know there is someone or something out there stalking you. Yes, you are being stalked. What are you going to do? If you run, will they catch you? Can you run fast enough? Can you find a place to hide? All of these questions and scenarios run through your mind. You need to decide how to react, but you are not sure which decision to make.
For the month of August, I am doing a teaching on how to fight against your enemy, your stalker. Each week I will show you a strategy to use against your stalker. We fight to win, and with the Word of God, we will be victorious.
You are being stalked! How do I know? God said it, and He is not a man that He can lie. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, “That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour” (AMP). The Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) says the enemy stalks about. You are being stalked. How do you fight such a foe? Here are five ways you can fight:
Strategy 1:
Be sober [well-balanced and self-disciplined], and be alert and cautious at all times. In other words, pay attention. You need to be aware that the attacks are real. You are being stalked. Remember, you cannot fight your enemy if you think he does not exist. Jesus never denied the existence of Satan. He gave us weapons to fight him. The stalker is a vicious schemer. He will try to trick you, and if that does not work, he will try something else. Stay well-balanced. Do not become so consumed with one part of your life that you neglect the other parts. Balance is key. Do not dwell in the realm of fear; arm yourself, and prepare for battle. Warfare is inevitable; learn to fight.
Practice utilizing this strategy against your stalker. Next week we will learn another strategy to use in battle.
