Dreams: It’s Time to Let Go!

Dreams. It’s time to let go of some of those dreams. I was reading a devotional the other day that said, some of you have been crying out to God for somethings which were not meant for you, but He gave them to you anyway just as He gave Israel a king  (1 Samuel 8). Go back and read that story; it’s eye-opening. God reluctantly gave Israel what they wanted, but He also warned them what would happen to them by receiving what they had asked for. Do not be too swift to run to God and ask for things Read More

LOVE: It’s an Action Verb

LOVE. There is a lot we can say about love. Depending on the Bible translation,  you can find love mentioned between 200 and 600 times. God wants us to know all about LOVE. Not that feeling people get when they think they love someone; I am talking about God’s love. LOVE is a verb and requires action. It’s something God commands us to do. Let us love one another () because God is love. Happy Valentine’s day. On this day when we make an extra effort to let others know we love them, remember God is LOVE and He loved Read More

Boldness: Plans, Purposes, and Pursuits

Boldness. Be bold in your pursuits. It’s the end of January and as usual, God and I had a conversation about making plans for the coming year. We looked at my plans, purposes, and pursuits from 2020, and He gave me direction for 2021. One of my goals for this year is to publish a book about praying through the pandemic. Thank you, God: Thankful in all things

Thankful in all things. Give thanks to God, for His mercy endures forever.  As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to inspire you to commit to being thankful. Take time every day to first all tell God how thankful you are; secondly, tell someone else what you are thankful for. I know ‘2020‘ has been a tough year for some. Nevertheless, be thankful. Things could be so much worst. One of my favorite scriptures on thankfulness is Psalm 136. The Word of God challenges us to always giving thanks because God is always so faithful and His mercy (loving-kindness)  endures forever. This Read More

Why God?: Go Ahead and Ask, He will Answer

Why? Has God ever asked you to do something and you wanted to ask Him just one question? Why God? God’s request does not make sense in the natural, but in the Spirit, it makes perfect sense. We are at that time in history when God will be asking us to do some things that appear to the world as foolishness, but as He said, “But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame Read More
