Being: Manifesting the Image of God

Being is the title of my next book which I plan to publish in the summer. So stay tuned. I started this book a few months ago as I sat thinking about how we are image-bearers. What does that mean? God created each of us in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:27). We were made to be like Him. Imago Dei is a Latin term meaning ‘image of God’.  As humans, we reflect God’s divine nature in our ability to achieve the unique characteristics with which we have been endowed.

If we follow the pattern in Genesis 1, God creates everything after its ‘kind’ until He created man. Mankind was very special to God, and God created male and female after His ‘kind and likeness’.  We are image-bearers. We are being transformed and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator (Colossians 3:10).

Look for Being: Manifesting the Image of God on Amazon later in the summer. Here are a couple of excerpts from the book:

Are you feeling down, doubtful, and afraid because you are not sure of who you are? Are you trying to ‘find yourself’? Are you struggling to live up to someone’s image of who you should be?
It’s time to realize that you are an image-bearer. You were made in God’s image and likeness.
