Christmas is fast approaching. I have been so busy with work and with other stuff I have not been able to write a blog post for a couple of weeks. I am way behind on working on my new book as well. I hope to get some writing done while on break from December 21st – January 4th.
For the past two weeks, I have been putting up decorations for our Annual Christmas Decorating Contest here on campus. I will share some pictures below. The theme was White Christmas (movie). If you have not seen this movie you should watch it. It’s pretty funny. Decorating for the holidays is always fun. These are busy times in Academia. Next week is finals week and the students will be finishing up. All of my student workers will be taking a break until January.
I made most of these decorations including the ballerinas. To create the Santa planters I spray painted a couple of my planters, painted them red and added fur trim and the Santa belt bow. I think everything came together beautifully. There are also snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and of course, there is plenty of snow covering the floor. The maintenance crew is going to hate me when they try to get all of that fluffy snow out of the carpet. I almost forgot. There are snowflake ballerinas hanging from the trees.
