Forever Grateful: Created to Praise Him

I am forever grateful for the cross and that He came to seek and save the lost. Giving thanks to God, for His mercy endures forever.  Aren’t you glad that He did not wait for us to cry out to Him, but He came looking for forever gratefulus? Aren’t you forever grateful for all that He does for you every day? Even the little things. I was telling one of my library patrons that God is not just good some of the time; He is good all the time. I am forever grateful about that TRUTH.

I take nothing for granted. Not the air I breathe every day; not the food I eat, nor the place I sleep. The Word of God challenges us to always give thanks because God is always so faithful and His mercy (loving kindness)  endures forever! Thessalonians 5:18 admonishes us “to in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”  I am forever grateful that He chose me. There was a time before I was born again that I wondered ‘why am I here’. The Word of God answers that question for me. Not just once, but forever: I was created to praise Him (Isaiah 43:21). So with that purpose in mind, I offer praise and thanksgiving daily.

1 Peter 2:9 also tells us, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” There is so much to be forever grateful for. Let’s start each day with a heart full of thankfulness for all He does and will continually do for us.

In 2 Chronicles 7:3, again God gives us a picture of His redemptive nature and shows us how we  should start each day:
1) Worship and praise the Lord
2) Thank Him for His Goodness
3) Thank Him for His mercy (loving kindness) which is renewed each morning and endures forever

If you are struggling with your purpose or trying to find yourself, forget about all that and look to the One who has already defined it for you. Once you accept that you were created to praise Him, all else will fall into place. Your destiny will start to reveal itself. As you take those first steps of faith in fulfilling your destiny, He will lead and guide you forward. Believe me, you will be forever grateful you did.
