FAITH WORDS: What’s in Your Mouth?

Faith WORDS are words you speak that are anointed by the Holy Spirit to perform an action. GOD SAID are specific faith words that created ‘everything by Him and for Him’ (Colossians 1:16). Be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable]. Stand firm in faith. You have been operating in the realm of fear. It’s time to start operating in the realm of faith. What roots you in times of battle? FAITH WORDS. In 1 Samuel 17, Goliath was stalking the armies of God. Every day, for 40 days, he would show up and yell threats at the soldiers, and they were terrified, operating in the realm of fear. Then David showed up. When David fought Goliath, he had five stones and a sling.

David did not kill the giant with the stone, He killed him with FAITH WORDS before the stone left his hand. He spoke these words into existence, “This very day God is handing you over to me. I’m about to kill you, cut off your head, and serve up your body and the bodies of your Philistine buddies to the crows and coyotes. The whole earth will know that there’s an extraordinary God in Israel. And everyone gathered here will learn that God doesn’t save by means of a sword or spear. The battle belongs to God—he’s handing you to us on a platter!” (1 Samuel 17:45-47).

It’s not the skill or the knowledge you possess that will bring defeat; it’s the WORDS you speak. It’s not what you have in your hand; it’s what you say with your mouth. Life and death are in the power of our tongues (Proverbs 18:21). Tell the stalker what you are going to do to him. David remembered what God had previously done for him. He killed the lion and the bear, and then he killed Goliath. Use God’s FAITH WORDS as a strategy to fight and defeat the stalker. Want more strategies?
