No Condemnation: Stop Condemning Yourself!

Here’s a great message from guest blogger, Eve Perry: No Condemnation, Stop Condemning Yourself! I was leaving a seminar on Saturday with one of the ladies from my small group and she decided to do a selfie and take some other pictures. She took a couple of pictures of me just laughing and having fun. One of the pictures was of me laughing really hard and a normal fun picture. I sent this picture to a friend with the thought in my heart, “this will make him laugh after a tough week and a rough day at work”. He was helping Read More

Favorite Scriptures: What Comes to Mind?

I am often asked, ‘What are my favorite scriptures?’ I really have to stop and think about it. There are several scriptures of which I am very fond, but they are not necessarily my favorites. I would say they are my go to scriptures when I need to meditate on something specific. Here are some examples: Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Philippians 4:19 (AMP) ‘And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your Read More

Dayenu: It Would Have Been Enough!

A couple of weekends ago we celebrated Passover and Easter. During our Seder, we recited this prayer called Dayenu. This song tells of God’s faithfulness. Although we did not experience the same trials as the Hebrews, we also have trials which we must face. But we know that His grace is always sufficient for us. We may not have experienced being released from Read More

God Does Not Change

Weather changes often, especially here in Oklahoma.  God does not change.  For some of us 2017 started off with a blast of cold weather and ice storms; others had too much rain and tornados. Our weather here in Oklahoma, as usual, has been a roller coaster ride of warm temperatures (sixties and seventies) and cold, icy temps (below freezing and single digits). As we say here in Oklahoma, ‘Hate the weather, just wait 5 minutes, it will change’. I am so glad God does not change. No one can ever say about God, ‘Just wait 5 minutes and He will change’. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Today at church my pastor preached about Jesus being the perfect Christmas gift. We are a blessed people. Christmas is about celebrating  God’s greatest gift, Jesus. You may have received numerous gifts today; however, I promise you, there is no gift greater than that of our salvation. Take time to read the story of Jesus’s birth in Luke’s gospel. It’s an amazing story of God’s love and faithfulness,  Examine your life. Are you like Herod who ignored this gift and ordered the death of thousands, or are you like the wise men who traveled far to acknowledge His Read More
